Wedding Welcome Guide

Hello Friend!

So you’re getting prepared for your special day & you decided to book a photographer! Honestly, a very smart (& not to mention, necessary) choice. Not only should booking the right photographer for you capture your once-in-a-lifetime moments that you’ll cherish forever, but you want to make sure you find the perfect fit for you & your big day! I totally get it, it’s not an easy decision! Whether you’re having hundreds of people at your wedding, or it's just you & your best friends, I’m here to make sure I capture those perfect moments. Allow me to tell you a bit about myself!

My name is Leda Morris, I’m from the Bullhead City region, but I met & married my husband in California. Our big day was in August of 2019, & honestly, booking a photographer was very last minute for me. We totally lucked out by booking her 2 months in advance, & our photographer totally clicked with us. We had never had our photos taken before, & she made us feel entirely comfortable & candid in front of a huge camera in our faces (which, might I add, is not easy to do). When I became a photographer, my biggest goal was to do exactly that for my clients. I never want my clients to have stiff, awkward, posed portraits. Instead I want to make memories you can look back on & say “That was the most beautiful time of my life!” Instead of feeling regretful & only remembering feeling uncomfortable. Cause who wants to feel awkward on one of the biggest days of their life? Not me!

I have been doing photography for 7 years, & I currently specialize in couples / wedding photography. I not only do it to make an income, but I do it because it’s my passion. Creating photographs is my art form, & the way your photos turn out mean as much to me as it does to you.

So, what do you say? Let’s get through the rest of this packet together & see if I can answer any of your questions!

Frequently Asked Questions

How far out in advance do you book?

The more far out, the better! There's never too early of a time to book with me.

Do you make a schedule or do I make a schedule?

Truthfully, this depends on if you already have a wedding planner / coordinator. If you do, I get in touch with them & we can work together on where I’m supposed to be & when. If not, I do offer assistance in creating a schedule that highlights who is supposed to be where & when for the big day! Regardless, it’s especially important that you have some sort of timeline so I know where I am supposed to be!

Do you require any money upfront?

Yes, I do require a $100 retainer fee upfront for me to write your name on the calendar. This is not an additional charge, it is included in your wedding package. The remaining balance will not be due until the day before the wedding.

How many hours of coverage do I really need?

It depends on what you want photographed! If you’re the type of person who is really sentimental & wants to remember every single moment of the day, you might need more hours than just the ceremony & reception. You & your partner need to know what important details you want covered, & then from there we can discuss what's necessary & what's not.

What will you do if something happens to your camera?

I will always have 3 spare batteries, 15 spare SD cards, & two camera bodies on me at all times. I will not show up to your wedding / elopement ill-prepared.

What is a second shooter, & do I really need one?

A second shooter is an extra photographer that you are able to hire through me for a specific amount of hours. They usually aren’t there the whole time, but only capture significant events (getting ready photos of the groom, the ceremony, first dances, etc.)

I’m going to be real with you, & I tell this to anyone that is having a special event (client or not), having a second shooter is a very wise decision. It not only gives you extra photos in your gallery, but it gives you different angles as well.

For Example:

If the bride is walking down the aisle & I am photographing her, I am not able to photograph the grooms reaction at the exact same time (because let’s be real, I can’t be two places at once because I’m not superhuman) so having a second shooter there will guarantee you’ll have two different perspectives.

Do you absolutely need one? No. Would it benefit you in the end? Absolutely.

What are your procedures/fees if the night runs over?

When I book a wedding, I block out the entire day for you. I do not schedule anything else that day. I am well aware that weddings are unpredictable & sometimes you need me there longer than you may have realized (although, I try to communicate this with my clients beforehand). I am more than happy to stay for longer, I just require a $90/hr additional fee.

If I want to print my wedding photos, do I have to do it through you?

When your photos are ready, you will receive a downloadable gallery in your email through my website that will give you full resolution photos. You have the rights to print them to the place of your choosing.

But like... how much is this gonna cost me?

Ahhh, yes. The scariest part of it all. (Just kidding, it’s not as scary as you think)

I have a few different basic packaging that you start with, & then from there you can add on a few things if you would like to. Each package is designed for your unique day. Every wedding is different & I want to create the perfect fit for you!!
